Islampur, 31st January: A 3-day Baul Mela commenced at the Shashan Kali Mandir in Fulbari of Sahapur-1 Gram Panchayat under Goalpokhar-1 block along with various folk artists of different states.
The fair was inaugurated on Friday by Goalpokhar Block-1 Joint BDO Payel Sarkar and Sahapur-1 Gram Panchayat Pradhan Manoj Singh.
Other members of the GoalPokhar-1 Panchayat Samiti were present at the inauguration ceremony. The organizers stated that such programmes are being organized to spread the Bengali folk culture.
