Three arrested for smuggling cannabis in Jalpaiguri 

Jalpaiguri, 25th June: Jalpaiguri Kotwali Police arrested two men and one woman disguised as tourists while they were smuggling cannabis. The accused have been identified as Reshma Debnath, Uttam Das, and Tapan Paul, all are residents of Tripura. 
Reportedly, on Saturday a team of Kotwali police launched an operation in the Vivekananda Pally area of ​​Jalpaiguri and appended a vehicle under suspicion. Upon questioning, the passengers in the vehicle stated that they were traveling to Siliguri from Tripura.
However, the police searched the vehicle and recovered 108 kilograms of cannabis. Superintendent of Police Devarshi Dutta stated that the accused will be produced in the district court on Sunday.
