Malda, 31st July: Based on a tip-off, the Chanchal police, late Thursday night, launched operations at the Galimpur area under Malda Chancha police station and arrested three men along with firearms.
A pipe gun, live cartridge, and sharp weapons were recovered from their possession. The arrested accused, identified as Emdadul Haque, Jahangir Alam, and Sheikh Altab were produced before the Chanchal court today.
According to police sources, while the team was successful in getting hold of the three accused, three other men managed to escape from the scene.
