Tension in Kharibari over distribution of govt’s Duare Sarkar rations from CPM election office

Kharibari 17th June: An atmosphere of tension prevailed in Kharibari after the Duare Sarkar’s ration was distributed from the CPM’s election office. Reportedly rations were being distributed from the CPM office in the Bihar More area of ​​booth number 27/88 in Kharibari. Once the matter came to light, a political turmoil erupted in the area especially with the Siliguri Mahakuma Parisad elections drawing nearer. 


In the party’s defence, CPM leader Bittu Jaiswal stated that the rations were stored in their booth following heavy rainfall. While the Trinamool Congress leader Bharat Jaiswal accused the CPM of distributing the ration as a political stunt ahead of the elections. He further accused the ration dealer of working for the party. The TMC leaders also filed a complaint to the Food Department against the ration dealer. 


Meanwhile, the ration dealer admitted that it was his fault, adding that there was a miscommunication among the staff leading to the whole incident.
