Siliguri, 02nd January: Tension erupted in Siliguri’s Ward No. 12 after posters of BJP candidate Nantu Paul were found torn down at several places in the ward this morning. Following this, BJP activists under the leadership of MLA Shankar Ghosh staged a protest rally in the area.
BJP candidate Nantu Paul accused TMC of the whole incident. And said that the matter has been reported to the police. Adding to this, MLA Shankar Ghosh alleged that attempts are being made to create unrest in the city.
However, the TMC candidate of that ward Basudeb Ghosh denied all allegations.
