Rajganj, April 24th: Forest workers from the Belakoba Range recovered Burma teak wood worth Rs 40 lakh before it could be smuggled out. A person, identified as Ram Bilas, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested in connection with this incident

Reportedly, this morning, forest personnel led by Ranger Sanjay Dutta stopped a container at Fatapukur in Rajganj on the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway. During the search, a large quantity of Burma teak wood was found in the container. The container driver was arrested on the spot for not providing valid documentation.
