Suvendu Adhikari leads against Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram assembly

Vote counting for the West Bengal assembly election began at 8 am and, as per the trends, the TMC is leading on 202 while the BJP on 77. There is neck and neck competition between TMC and challenger BJP. It is likely Mamata Banerjee will once again form the TMC government.


The fight between the TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee and Suvendu Adhikari, ex-aide of Banerjee for Nandigram constituency is focused on by the whole country. However, BJP’s heavyweight candidate Suvendu Adhikari is leading with 34,430 total votes from the Nandigram constituency. Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee stands at 30,655 votes.
