Fulbari, 26th June: The Sunni Ghousia Foundation organised a series of social welfare programmes in Fulbari on the occasion of Muharram, including a voluntary blood donation camp, health check-up camps and sherbet distribution.
According to the organisation, various social service initiatives are undertaken every year on the occasion of Muharram. Continuing the tradition this year, the foundation organised a voluntary blood donation camp, an eye check-up camp, a general health check-up camp and a sherbet distribution programme.
A large number of people from different parts of the Fulbari area participated in the programmes. Amid the intense summer heat, members of the organisation distributed chilled sherbet to passersby. Organisers said that many people also benefited from the blood donation and health camps.
Members of the foundation stated that their primary objective is to stand by people through social service activities alongside religious observances. They added that such public welfare initiatives would continue in the future as well.
