Student caught trying to get admission in Siliguri College with fake documents

Siliguri, 03rd September: A student accompanied by a man were caught red-handed with fake documents in Siliguri College.


Reportedly, the student, a resident of Mahakal Pally in Ward No. 10 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, used to study at another college in the city. However, she always desired to get admitted to Siliguri College.

It has been learned that a person named Arup Sarkar offered her help to get admission in the third semester of Siliguri College for Rs 5,000. Accordingly, the duo reached Siliguri College on Friday with the fake documents. However, after going through the documents, the college authorities found them to be fake. Following this, after questioning the student, the whole matter came to light. The incident was informed to Siliguri police and Arup Sarkar was detained.


Dr Sujit Ghosh, Principal of Siliguri College said, “The admission process for the third semester has not started yet. The online admission process is also being carried out. The girl has been a victim of a conspiracy.”
