Siliguri, 28th October: Strict measures are already being taken in different parts of the state against the ones spotted without mouth maks. Likewise, Siliguri Police Commissionerate has announced to gear up against COVID-19 protocols violators in the city from Friday. The ones who will not wear masks in markets and crowded areas will be punished.
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma has directed DCPs of different zones to launch a campaign to increase the use of special masks.
The violators may also be detained and taken to the police station. Such initiatives are taken in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases in the state after Durga Puja.
