STF recover 20,000 Yaba tablets, cash in NJP, three arrested

Siliguri, 15th June: The STF West Bengal team, acting on a tip-off, launched an operation at Fulbari-Ghoshpukur Road under the NJP police station area this afternoon and apprehended a four-wheeler car. It was learned that the car was heading to Murshidabad from Dimapur in Nagaland. On searching the vehicle, the team recovered 20,000 contraband Yaba tablets and cash worth Rs 66,000. Three men inside the vehicle were immediately taken into custody.
A specific case under NDPS Act is being started at the NJP police station under Siliguri Metropolitan Police. The arrested have been identified as Jhantu Sarkar (26), Soyeb Nabi Sk (39) and Samad Molla (33), all of whom are residents of Murshidabad.
