STF raids house in ISKCON temple road, seizes drugs worth lakhs, peddler absconding

Siliguri, 23rd January: State police’s Special Task Force (STF) raided a house on ISKCON Temple Road, Ward No. 40 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation and recovered drugs and cash worth lakhs of rupees.


As per the report, a gang of youths hailing from Murshidabad had rented a house on ISKCON Temple Road from where they used to conduct the drugs racket. After receiving information regarding the matter, STF officers conducted a campaign in the said house on Friday night. However, all the accused managed to flee away from the scene.


Meanwhile, police conducted a search in the said house and recovered brown sugar worth lakhs of rupees. Apart from this, a cash counting machine and cash worth 17 lakh 25 thousand rupees were seized. The STF is searching for the absconding accused.
