Naxalbari, 23rd October: A man has been arrested on charges of repeatedly raping his mentally challenged minor stepdaughter. The incident has cast a shadow of shock throughout the entire area of Naxalbari.
According to reports, the accused took advantage of his wife’s absence to sexually assault the girl multiple times. Upon receiving the complaint made by the minor’s grandmother, the Naxalbari police initiated an investigation and apprehended the accused. The accused will be produced before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Thursday.
Notably, the minor’s father had passed away, and her mother subsequently remarried the accused. The alleged incidents of sexual assault have been ongoing for the past month. The Naxalbari police are conducting a thorough investigation into the entire matter.
