State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee arrived on a three-day visit to Darjeeling

Siliguri, 11th July: State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee arrived at Bagdogra airport today for her three-day Darjeeling visit and headed towards the hills. 


The CM will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA) in Darjeeling on Tuesday. Banerjee is expected to attend the program organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bhanubhakta Acharya, the first writer in the Nepali language. Following this, the CM will return to Kolkata on July 14.

While the CM did not respond to the media, she spoke to the Darjeeling District Trinamool Chairman Alok Chakraborty and congratulated him on the victory in Siliguri Mahakma Parishad election.
