Siliguri, 24th May: The “Sorashori Shankar” programme was organised at Baghajatin Park on Sunday under the initiative of Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh, where people from Siliguri as well as districts including Malda, Cooch Behar and Kolkata attended to place their problems, complaints and suggestions before the MLA.
During the programme, several issues ranging from personal grievances to land grabbing and alleged corruption in recruitment were raised by the residents. MLA Shankar Ghosh listened to the concerns of the attendees and said that the issues would be brought to the attention of the Chief Minister as well as the concerned departments for necessary action.
The MLA stated that similar “Sorashori Shankar” programmes had been organised earlier as well and would continue in different parts of Siliguri in the coming days.
He further informed that ward-wise “Sorashori Shankar” programmes would also be organised under the Siliguri Municipal Corporation area in the future.
