Siliguri, 20th September: The Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested a man with 160 grams of brown sugar. The arrested accused has been identified as Tapas Sarkar.
It has been learned that SOG received a tip-off regarding Tapash Sarkar, a resident of the Samarnagar area under Pradhan Nagar Police Station, who had been peddling drugs for the last few months. Based on the information, SOG team communicated with Sarkar in the disguise of customers. He was caught red-handed when he reached Mallaguri to deliver the drugs.
A case has been filed against him under the NDPS Act and was produced at the Siliguri court today.
