Siliguri, 27th July: The Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested a man with 200 bottles of illegal cough syrup. The arrested accused has been identified as Alok Sharma (30), a resident of Maynaguri.
It has been learned that the man was arrested from the Tenzing Norgay bus stand in Siliguri. 200 bottles of cough syrup were recovered from his possession. Later, the accused was handed over to the Pradhan Nagar Police.
The Pradhan Nagar police filed a case against him under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and produced him in Siliguri court.
