Siliguri, 31st August: Acting on a tip-off, the Special Operations Group (SOG) assisted by Matigara Police, on Sunday afternoon, arrested two suspected drug peddlers. The arrested accused have been identified as Sanket Mishra(26) from English Bazaar, Malda and Bapi Sharma (28) from Bagdogra Masjid Para.
Upon searching, 190 grams of brown sugar was recovered from their possession. In addition, Rs 1.35 lakh cash was recovered which was kept concealed by them inside the under-seat storage of a scooty. The accused persons were presented before the court today, and taken into police custody, for further investigation.
