Social workers of ‘Sampriti’ steps forward to help the orphans of Siliguri’s Ashighar

Siliguri, 02nd May: Siliguri along with the entire country is under a lockdown to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus. In this regard, many voluntary organizations, social workers, businessmen, police personnel, and journalists are coming forward to help the needy by distributing rations, cooked meals, safety gear, and others.


Likewise, voluntary organization ‘Sampriti’ extended its helping hand towards the three helpless siblings namely Nikita, Neha, and Bishwa. They are orphans and are residents of the Ashighar area under the Dabgram-2 region.
The organization handed over 25 kg of rice, lentils, mustard oil, salt and soybean packets to them and also gave them some extra amount to carry out the other expenses.

Kaushik Dev Roy, Dilip Roy, Arunangshu Dey, and Jayanta Kar were present during the programme. The organization members further assured them of taking responsibility for their education and survival even after the lockdown gets over.
