Social activist Mimlal Sapkota to be honored with the Samaj Ratna Award in Siliguri

Siliguri, 25th February: For completing 75 glorious years of his life, the pride of the Gorkhas, Nepali Literature and Culture patron and social activist Mimlal Sapkota will be conferred with the prestigious Samaj Ratna Award by Kurseong’s Bishnu Maya Sharma Foundation.


The grand gesture will be organized in Devkota Sangh Bhawan in Siliguri, on March 1, in a joint initiative of Bishnu Maya Sharma Foundation Kurseong, Mimlal Sapkota Nagarik Abhivadan Samaroha Samiti and the Madhya Marg Patrika Publication. In the event, a biography written on the renowned figure will also be launched.

The ceremony will be chaired by Dr. Mani Kumar Sharma, while Dr. Pratap Chandra Pradhan will be present as the Chief Guest and Dr. Gokul Sinha including various Nepali language activists will be present as the Guests of Honor.
