SMC’s “Talk to Chairman” service commences from today in Siliguri

Siliguri, 11th December: Siliguri Municipal Corporation on Saturday commenced their “Talk to Chairman” service to increase public relations with the people of the city. On the very first day, SMC Administrator Goutam Deb heard the grievances of 29 people and assured to solve the problems at the earliest.


Today, most of the problems were relating to drinking water facilities in the city. The SMC Administrator said that the plan of senior CPI(M) leader and former West Bengal Urban Development Minister Ashok Bhattacharya was faulty. As a result, common people today are facing numerous problems regarding basic necessities.

“Nontheless, this problem will be solved by obtaining water from Gajoldoba apart from Fulbari to meet the drinking water demand of the people,” Deb added.


As per the infomration, citizens can directly complain about various issues by calling on the toll-free number 1800-345-3350. This service will be available every Saturday from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm.
