SMC will be eventually taken over by uniting Trinamool’s oppositions: Shankar Ghosh

Siliguri, 16th July: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders came up with a new approach to take charge of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. BJP MLA Shankar Ghosh said that SMC will be eventually taken over by uniting all the oppositions of Trinamool Congress.

During a press conference in Siliguri on Friday, Shankar Ghosh accused the present TMC ruled Board of Administrators (BoA) of not carrying out any developmental work in the city. He asserted that as BJP bagged 50 percent votes in the 2021 assembly elections, work has already started in several wards and booths for the municipality. He further alleged corruption regarding COVID vaccination in the city.

On the other hand, District Trinamool president Ranjan Sarkar said that the people of the state have rejected BJP. “Shankar Ghosh himself is a defector. One day, BJP will not exist anymore,” he claimed.
