Siliguri, 24th May: The Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA) has issued an order directing the demolition of Trinamool Congress party office located in Kawakhali, adjacent to Siliguri.
Reportedly, allegations were raised that the structure had been constructed without obtaining proper authorisation. Following the allegations, the administration initiated action and issued a notice regarding the removal of the office.
According to sources, the SJDA has issued a notice setting a seven-day deadline for the removal of the structure. Sources further stated that additional action may be taken if the directive is not complied with within the stipulated period.
The development has triggered political tension and discussion in the area.
However, no official reaction from the local leadership of the Trinamool Congress had been received.
