Fulbari, 15th February: On Thursday, the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA) Chairman Sourav Chakraborty laid the foundation stone of road construction work in an area adjacent to Jatiakali of Fulbari-II Gram Panchayat (GP).
According to reports, about 1.5 km stretch of road would be constructed with the assistance of SJDA at an estimated budget of Rs 1 crore 42 lakh.
In this regard, SJDA Chairman Sourav Chakraborty stated that the locals of the area had been demanding the road construction for a prolonged time for which the foundation has been laid. He added that the construction of the road would highly benefit the people of the area.
