Siliguri’s youth aims to set a world record of creating 1001 pictures in 24 hours

Siliguri, 05th November: Subhankar Pal Gupta, a resident of Siliguri, aspires to create 1001 pictures within 24 hours and make the citizens proud by being a part of the Guinness Book of World Records.

Reportedly, Subhankar’s love for painting and sculpting since childhood turned into his profession. He has already amazed people by constructing various puja mandaps in the city. However, this time he wishes to cross the benchmark.

Aspiring to be enlisted into the Guinness Book of World Records, Subhankar is trying to organize a drawing competition on November 14 (Children’s Day), where a total of 100 contestants can participate, starting from 17 months to 12 years of age. The target is to create 1001 pictures within 24 hours, frame them, and send them to the Guinness Book of World Records. However, Subhankar is hopeful of being able to set a world record by completing the work in just 12 hours. If permission is granted to organize the event, the competition will be held on the grounds of Vivekananda School, Siliguri.

Besides, he also expressed displeasure over the absence of an art college in Siliguri. He said that many talents are dying due to lack of proper infrastructure. He further alleged that despite carrying out several movements in this concern, no necessary steps have been taken so far.
