Siliguri, 18th July: On Monday Ward No. 27 councilor Prashant Chakraborty conducted an awareness program regarding dengue and also the danger of using single-use plastics.
Reportedly, the councilor along with the health workers visited multiple areas of the ward and interacted with the people. They distributed leaflets raising awareness of dengue and pasted stickers in various shops urging people to avoid using single-use plastic.
In this regard, Prashant Chakraborty stated that along with the dengue awareness program, residents have been appealed to avoid plastic use. He further added that a fine will be imposed if the rules are violated.
