The temple authorities inspected the wheel of the chariot and other equipments used in the procession. The chariot is being cleaned and painted to give it a fresh look. Meanwhile, this year’s celebration is expected to be grand as the rath yatra could not be held the previous two years due to the pandemic.

On behalf of the temple, Namkrishna Das stated that three chariots of Sri Jagannath, Sri Baladeva and Sri Subhadra respectively will be taken out this year in Siliguri. “The people will be able to witness the Gods on the streets of the city once again after two years,” he added.
