Siliguri, 26th July: The employees of a renowned food delivery company staged a protest in Sevoke road today. They alleged that despite working continuously risking their lives amid the pandemic, their salaries were cut. They further alleged that they are deprived of basic facilities.
The workers stated that after the lockdown, the salaries were slashed and to top it off the company decided to reduce their incentives. Besides, masks, sanitizers, and other protective gear are not being provided to them. They fear that a further cut in incentives will make it difficult to make ends meet.
The protestors warned of staging larger demonstrations if the company does not accept their demands soon.
