Siliguri’s Himachal Sangha to organize a volleyball competition from February 29

Siliguri, 25th February: The 12th Interstate Volleyball competition of the Himachal Sangha will commence from February 29 and continue up to March 1. In the previous years, the competition was a part of the North Bengal Utsav. However, due to some problems, the competition was postponed this year.


During a press conference today, Ranjan Sarkar, on behalf of the club stated that the competition will be held under the joint venture of Himachal Sangha, Siliguri Sub-divisional Sports Council and Ward No. 30 committee. He further stated that 6 clubs will participate in the competition and cash prizes worth 25 thousand, 15 thousand and 5 thousand rupees have been arranged.

The State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb will be present during the inaugural event.
