Siliguri, 14th April: Today marks the auspicious occasion of Bengali New Year. In this regard, several garment shops in Siliguri were spotted selling clothes since Tuesday morning.
Upon confrontation, a violator made up an excuse and stated that he had opened his shop to perform Puja rituals on the first day of the New Year.
However, the trader immediately shut down his shop after being warned.
