Siliguri’s Haiderpara Buddha Bharati School student Ayesha secures first place in HS Results

Siliguri, 24th July: Ayesha Biswas, a student of Haiderpara Buddha Bharati School, secured good marks in her Higher secondary examinations. The young scholar aspires to pursue her higher education in English.


Ayesha is a resident of Gouranga Pally in Ward No. 40 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation. She had always been a meritorious student and in 2019, she secured first place in Madhyamik exams from her school. Ayesha’s father Chayan Biswas is a vegetable trader by profession. With the ongoing pandemic, he is struggling to afford his daughter’s academic expenses. Against all odds, Ayesha secured first place with 457 marks in her Higher secondary exams.

Ayesha said, “I am the only child of my parents. I am their only hope, I will try my best to be successful and stand by their side.”


On the other hand, Madan Bhattacharya, social activist and General Secretary of Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress, came to her school after learning about Ayesha’s good results. The headmaster of Haiderpara Buddha Bharati Vidyalaya Swapanendu Nandi and social activist Madan Bhattacharya congratulated her with flowers and sweets.

Headmaster Swapnendu Nandi said, “Ayesha is a very good student. I wish her success.”

Social activist Madan Bhattacharya said that poverty will not be able to suppress talent. I will always help Ayesha in her future endeavours.”

On the other hand, Ayesha’s parents said, “We want our daughter to do what we could not do.”
