Siliguri, 25th July: After a meeting was held with the task force officials in Siliguri Municipal Corporation, DM S. Ponammbalam declared that the COVID Warrior Club will provide jobs to the city’s COVID-19 winners.
As per the information, the candidates will be appointed to tend patients in the city’s Safe House or in Home Isolation as per the advice of doctors. Their monthly salary will be 15 thousand rupees.
The DM further stated that the work of preparing the list has already commenced. While members of voluntary organizations are also allowed to work in this club, preference will be given to the people who fought the virus themselves and recovered.
On the other hand, COVID clubs will be formed in different wards, with the help of which medicines and food will be delivered to the homes of other COVID-19 patients.
That’s a great initiative of D. M. Sir. Such COVID club in every ward is very much required.
