Siliguri’s Anamika Roy joins Harihar High School after prolonged legal battle

Rajganj, 21st September: On Thursday, after a prolonged legal battle, Anamika Roy of Siliguri joined Harihar High School in Rajganj block as a political science teacher.

According to reports, Anamika Roy approached the High Court claiming procedural errors in Babita’s appointment. She claimed that she secured two marks more than Babita and stated the latter to be ineligible for the job. Following the claims and a prolonged legal disorder, the Calcutta High Court canceled Babita’s candidature and ordered Anamika to be appointed for the job.

Earlier in the case, Ankita Adhikari, the daughter of former minister Paresh Adhikari also lost the said job due to number manipulation. Later another candidate named Babita Sarkar replaced Ankita. However, Babita lost her job too for providing misinformation.

In this regard, Anamika stated that she received the appointment letter on Tuesday. She added that she joined Harihar High School as a political science teacher today. Furthermore, she stated that she felt privileged to contribute to the school as a teacher after a long legal battle. Anamika, while revealing her belief in the judiciary, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Justice Abhijit Gangopadhay.
