Siliguri, 31st January: SMC elections will be held on February 12. The administration is working hard to make the election peaceful. The sensitive centers have already been identified. The Election Commission has started preparations for peaceful voting in those booths.
Siliguri SDO Srinivas Venkatrao Patil also visited the sensitive booths along with the police administration. ACP East Suvendra Kumar was also present. The SDO visited several booths in Ward no-34 and 35.
After examining all the issues at the booth, SDO Srinivas Patil said that the election will be held following the Covid rules. Asha workers will be employed at every booth. Besides, distribution of masks and voting will be done maintaining social distance.
