Siliguri schoolgirl murder case update: Accused MD Abbas altered his statement before the judge

Siliguri, 14th December: In an ongoing lawsuit, the accused Mohammad Abbas altered his statement again in the case of the murder of a schoolgirl in Matigara.


According to reports, on Thursday, the accused Mohammad Abbas was produced before the court in the ongoing trial of the schoolgirl homicide. During the proceeding, the accused claimed to be innocent. Following this, the court ordered that the trial begin on January 3 and announced the speedy completion of the trial.

It is to be noted that on August 21 a schoolgirl was allegedly murdered. Mohammad Abbas, the accused, was apprehended by police within 6 hours of investigation. MD Abbas initially confessed his crime in court. However, later he altered his statement.


Speaking in this regard, Lawyer Lili Thapa noted that MD Abbas claimed to be innocent and that the trial procedure for the matter will begin on January 3.
