Siliguri, 28th April: In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, six rotary clubs under the Rotary India Siliguri Branch, on Tuesday, distributed milkshakes among the health workers of the Siliguri District Hospital to boost their immune system. Such an initiative has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the health workers who are on the frontline combating COVID-19 pandemic.
The State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb was present during the programme. It has been learned that 24 thousand packets of milkshake were handed over to him on behalf of the club a few days ago. Following the instructions, milkshakes were distributed among the health workers of NBMCH on Monday.
The Minster stated that such initiatives will also be taken soon for the police officials, all health workers, and other needy people.
