Siliguri Pride Walk features several demands of the queer community

Siliguri, 29th December: On Friday, the Siliguri Pride Walk was organized in alignment with several demands from the queer community.


According to reports, the procession commenced from the Mahatma Gandhi More (Airview More) in Siliguri, circumambulated the Hill Cart Road, and eventually concluded at the Baghajatin Park. During this, the members of the community put forth several demands, including the right to adopt children and the provision of legal status to same-sex marriage. The event was graced by the active participation of numerous members of the community from Siliguri as well as Kolkata.

On this day, Bodhisattva represented the organization and highlighted the various factors and rights the community is deprived of. As a result, the members of the community held a procession collectively emphasizing the provision of their rights.
