Siliguri, 16th April: To prevent crowding in banks amid lockdown, the Postal staff initiated a campaign in the Siliguri Nareshmore area where account holders of almost all state-owned banks were able to withdraw money through an IPPB account.
The India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) account allows the customer to link any bank account with the post offices. This will enable the bank account holder to transfer money from their account into the IPPB accounts and withdraw money from the post office instead of crowded banks.
