Siliguri Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Children’s Home

Siliguri, 11th August: The festival of Raksha Bandhan is being observed all over the city. Everyone is celebrating in their own way. Similarly, Siliguri’s Commissioner Gaurav Sharma was witnessed celebrating the special occasion with the children of ‘First Love Children’s Home’ located at Debidanga under Pradhan Nagar police station.


Gaurav Sharma along with his team reached the said orphanage and the children tied rakhi on his wrist. He also gifted presents to the children and they were seen beaming with happiness. The children of the Home also presented patriotic songs and dances. The Commissioner further invited the children of the Home to the Commissionerate on the 15th August program. DCP Kunwar Bhushan Singh and DD ACP Rajen Chhetri were also present on this occasion.


Speaking in this regard, the manager of ‘First Love Children’s Home’ said that the Police Commissioner and his entire team visited their orphanage and celebrated the festival of rakhi. This has made the children extremely happy.
