Siliguri, 15th September: On Friday, the Siliguri Police Commissioner’s Cup Football Tournament 2023 was organized at Surya Nagar ground, under the initiative of the Siliguri Police Station. The event aimed at strengthening the relationship between the police and the common people.
The event commenced in the presence of the Siliguri police station OC (Officer-in-Charge) Amartya Chakraborty and District School Sports President Madan Bhattacharya. According to reports the event witnessed the active participation of players featuring four teams from clubs including Swastika Yuvak Sangha, Tarai Morning, V.N.C. Morning Soccer, and Siliguri Kochi Veteran of Siliguri police station.
While addressing the media, Madan Bhattacharya explained that the goal of this event is to strengthen the bond between the general public and the police. The winning squad will thereafter take part in the final championship match at the Police Comissionerate ground.
