Siliguri, 26th May: Police from Siliguri police station have arrested three persons with brown sugar in a drug bust operation. The arrested individuals have been identified as Vijay Chaudhary, Rajesh Barman, and Sujoy Das.
According to reports, acting on a tip-off, police conducted an operation near the Mahananda riverbank area, during which three suspects were detained and searched, leading to the recovery of 462 grams of brown sugar. Police also seized around ₹2,500 in cash and a motorcycle from their possession.
Sources said the accused were allegedly on their way to deliver the narcotics, and police suspect the involvement of more individuals. Further investigation is underway.
