Siliguri, 22nd June: Personnel of Siliguri Police Station arrested five miscreants, identified as Subhajit Kaur, Bapan Swarnakar, Suman Das, Ratan Sarkar and Vishal Rawat, from the Bagrakote area last night.
According to police, a team of undercover cops launched an operation acting on a tip-off regarding a dozen outlaws who had gathered in the said area to commit a big crime. While several miscreants managed to escape the clutches of the police, five were successfully nabbed by the team.
Police seized a number of weapons including metal rods, saws, knives, from the arrested. Meanwhile, a search operation for the absconding miscreants has been initiated by the Siliguri Police. The five accused were present in the Siliguri court today.
