Siliguri, 30th June: Siliguri Municipal Corporation is all set to remove illegal hoardings in the city. On Thursday, four hoardings from the NJP station road area were removed.
Allegedly, several iron structures have been erected in different areas of the city for hoardings without paying tax for advertisements to the Corporation. The SMC is also sending out notices to those who are putting up hoardings in the city without proper permission.
Today, SMC employees along with large police force of NJP Police Station launched a campaign in NJP Station Road area. During this, four hoardings were demolished and removed.
In this regard, the Mayor-Council of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Munna Prasad stated that the campaign against illegal hoardings will be carried out continuously in Siliguri.
