Siliguri MLA visits Ward No. 47, hears civic issues under ‘Sarasari Shankar’ program

Siliguri, 12th May: Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh visited Pramod Nagar in Ward No. 47 on Monday as part of the BJP’s ‘Sarasari Shankar’ program, where he interacted with residents and took note of various civic problems affecting the area.

Locals highlighted issues such as damaged roads, non-functional street lights, poor drainage, and irregular water supply. They stated that these problems have persisted for a long time, and despite informing Ward Councillor, no effective action has been taken. Many residents complained that movement becomes extremely difficult during the monsoon due to the condition of the roads.

After listening to the complaints, the MLA assured residents that these issues would be resolved if the BJP forms the next state government. He added that party representatives are visiting every ward and booth in Siliguri to assess local problems and will soon review the status of the water project in the area.

Ward No. 47 Councillor Amar Ananda Das did not provide any comment on the matter.
