Siliguri, 11th October: Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma has taken a special initiative this puja season for the elderlies of old age homes in the city. Today, he visited the ‘Apna Ghar’ old age home and spent the day with the residents.
Two police buses were provided for the elderlies on behalf of the Siliguri Metropolitan Police to help them visit various puja pandals in the city. Besides the buses, a police vehicle and an ambulance were also arranged for the convenience of the elderly.
Before the team left, Commissioner Gaurav Sharma handed over masks and packets of sweets to everyone.
