Siliguri Metropolitan Police launches their unique initiative “Navjeevan” program for people trapped in quagmire of drug addiction

Siliguri, 02nd September: Siliguri Metropolitan Police has taken initiative to lead the people battling drug addiction back to normal life. Through their “Navjeevan” program, the people trapped in quagmire of drug addiction will be sent to de-addiction centres in the city to help them free themselves from dependence.


Siliguri Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma inaugurated the program at Siliguri police station today. Reportedly, Siliguri Merchant Association has extended a helping hand in the police’s “Navjeevan” program.


Apart from this, about 100 new CC cameras installed in Ward No. 07, 08 and 09 were inaugurated at Siliguri police station. These cameras have been installed by the Siliguri Merchant Association to improve the security of the areas.
