Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Election: Cops of Siliguri Metropolitan Police conduct Naka Checking in various areas

Siliguri, 24th June: Route march is being conducted continuously by the Siliguri Metropolitan Police to keep the security system under check before the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad election.
On Friday, the personnel of Matigara police station conducted a route march under the supervision of DCP Kunwar Bhushan Singh, ACP Manish Yadav, ACP Rajen Chhetri, and IC of Matigara police station. 
Later, DCP and ACP also interacted with the locals during the route march and urged all to provide information by calling 100 in case of any issue.
Reportedly, there are a total of 09 seats in the Siliguri Mahakama Parishad area, a total of 66 seats in Panchayat Samiti, and a total of 462 seats in Gram Panchayat. This year about 5 lakh 27 thousand 938 candidates are participating in the elections; out of which, 2,64,467 are male voters, 2,63,468, are female voters and 03 are from the third gender community. 
The total number of polling stations is 657, and a total of 5 thousand polling personnel have been deployed to conduct elections in 4 blocks. At the same time, 457 CCTV cameras will be installed at each polling station.
