Siliguri, 03rd May: A route march was conducted by the Siliguri Metropolitan Police to maintain peace and order in the area before the Siliguri Mahakma Parishad elections. Polling for 9 seats of the Siliguri Mahakma Parishad will be held on 26th June. There is a total of 66 seats in Panchayat Samiti and 462 seats in Gram Panchayat where the number of male candidates is 2,64,467, and the number of females stands at 2,63,468, and the number of the third gender is 03. The total number of polling stations is 657.
Today, under the leadership of ACP Manish Yadav, the police of Siliguri Metropolitan Police Station conducted a route march in various areas including Devidanga, Milan More, under Champasari.
