Siliguri Mahakma Parishad Election: Siliguri Police conduct Naka Checking at various junctions

Siliguri, 24th June: With the Siliguri Mahakma Parishad elections just around the corner, the personnel of Siliguri Metropolitan Police are working day-night to keep the security system of the city under check. Furthermore, the Indo-Nepal border in Panitanki has been temporarily shut from Friday 05 PM till Sunday.
Reportedly, the administration has appointed about 1500 election personnel to safeguard the EVMs and booths and to prevent any untoward incident regarding the elections. 
At present, the police are patrolling the streets along with different junctions of Siliguri. Likewise, on Friday, Bagdogra Police conducted a Naka Checking in front of North Bengal University. Vehicles were stopped and checked thoroughly. The Siliguri Metropolitan Police is on high alert to ensure peaceful voting.
