Siliguri, 03rd June: With less than a month to go for the Siliguri Mahakama Parishad (SMP) elections, all the political parties have started their preparations in full swing.
Siliguri Organizational Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President and Matigara-Naxalbari MLA Anandmoy Barman appealed to the Siliguri Metropolitan Police and the Election Commission to conduct the Siliguri Mahakama Parishad elections peacefully.
Barman held a press conference in the Mallaguri BJP party office, on Friday, regarding the announcement of BJP candidates contesting in nine seats. He further added that BJP has fielded candidates on all the seats of Siliguri Mahakama Parishad and Panchayat Samiti.
He claimed that if the elections are conducted properly, BJP will win with a huge margin. “For this, the police administration will have to inspect the voting with fairness,” he stated.
